How do you securely submit employee ID card photos and data?2024-04-29T12:38:21-04:00

We provide two secure methods for submitting your photos and data. Firstly, you can log in to our secure Veonics Portal® cloud-based badging software and enter or import your data and photos. After that, you can post your order to be printed. Secondly, you can drop your files in our secured file drop zone; we will take care of the rest. We will work with your database administrators to determine the most secure and efficient method using our defined enterprise rebadging process for large orders exceeding ten thousand badges.

How do we know the ID badges you print for us will work in our card reader system?2024-04-29T13:23:46-04:00

We have a formal ID Card Testing Process. We understand your requirements for card reader technology, including RFID, barcodes, and magnetic stripes. We will send you test samples to ensure that they work seamlessly with your existing systems. Before we issue the first photo ID badge, we require signed approval forms to confirm that the badges communicate effectively with 100% accuracy.

Can we use our existing proprietary RFID or other ID card stock?2024-04-29T13:25:43-04:00

If you have your own cardstock that can only be obtained through a restricted channel, we can still print on it for an extra fee. However, the stock must be new and unused, and we recommend that you consult with your eXpress badging ID Specialist before purchasing any new stock. We may be able to provide them as part of our engagement, so it’s worth checking with us first.

How can we increase the durability of employee ID cards?2024-04-29T13:22:49-04:00

eXpress badging has a durable solution for you! Our DURAbadge™ feature involves laminating the PVC badge with a one-millimeter overlaminate on both sides of an employee ID badge. This provides extra protection to the badge, preventing surface wear, image fading, and badge cracks. We stand behind our product and offer a two-year guarantee for this feature.

Can you sort the ID badges and ship them to multiple locations?2024-04-29T13:34:45-04:00

If you provide us with the necessary information, we can sort your ID badges by department, last name, and first name. This will make it easier for you to ship them to multiple locations accurately. We use our “Sort, Bundle, Pack and Ship” service to sort the badges; they are placed in a 9″ x 12″ baggie and banded together. We also include a packing slip with the badges, making it easier to keep track of them. If you prefer a specific order for printing the badges, we can arrange that, too. Please let me know if you have any further questions or concerns.

How do we know what badge numbers are assigned to each person?2024-04-29T13:40:35-04:00

If you need to know which badge numbers are assigned to each person, we offer a “Read and Post” service that provides the RFID number in a format that can be easily imported and found on the printed packing slip. This means you can easily identify who has been assigned a unique card number and integrate it into your systems without having to manually enroll each card number. In addition, we also offer a “Clone” service for 125KHz proximity cards that allows us to match the numbers with the current badges. This makes it easier for you to swap the badges as the new ones will already be enabled.

When is it best for us to print employee ID badges onsite versus you printing them for us?2024-04-29T14:09:13-04:00

It can be challenging to provide a straightforward answer to this question. The answer will depend on factors such as the urgency of issuing a live ID card, the number of employees, the number of locations, the frequency of ID badge issuance, and the resources available for managing the process. If your company only needs to issue a small number of live photo ID badges, a contracted ID badge printing service is most likely the most cost-effective solution. However, outsourcing your ID badge printing needs to us may be more convenient and efficient, even if you have many employees. To determine the best solution for your company, we recommend speaking with one of our ID Specialists. They can provide guidance based on your unique needs and help you make an informed decision. Please feel free to give us a call to discuss your requirements further.

You can make your employee badges last for many years longer by purchasing a printer with a lamination module. We recommend lamination for worn ID badges with RFID or when swiped in readers. What happens when our printer breaks and cannot be fixed remotely?2024-04-29T15:17:44-04:00

These programs typically last for one to three years but can sometimes be extended to five years. In such cases, we highly recommend considering an upgrade. If you have an eXpress badging Extended Support Contract or a Veonics Portal account, call us, and we will handle the warranty issue. If your printer is out of warranty or support, we will work to get it repaired as quickly as possible when you contact us. Please note that if you do not have a loaner option, you may need to plan for a downtime of five to ten business days.

Yes, we do recommend testing printed ID cards and badges! This is part of our eight-step issuance process. The last step is called “Verification”. Even if you are printing on-premises or having eXpress badging do all the printing for you, it’s recommended to spot-check within each batch to ensure they look great and work well in all systems.
